August 2026 release: payment at booking, prices on the booking page & revenue overview

Until now a booking in Dispoly ended with the confirmation, and how the money changed hands was your problem. This release closes that gap: reservations can be paid for, either online by card or on site as before. And if you never want to collect online, you still benefit, because prices and outstanding amounts are finally visible.

Two ways to get paid

You decide per booking page how payment works:

  • Pay on site or by invoice. The price is shown, the booking works exactly as before, and the outstanding amount appears in your revenue overview. You collect at the counter, by bank transfer, or however you are used to. This needs no setup whatsoever: no payment provider, no account, nothing.
  • Online card payment. Guests pay while booking. The money goes straight to your account. Dispoly never receives it, and your name appears on your guests' card statements.

For bookings that need approval you can defer the payment: you review the request first, and the guest then automatically receives a payment link by email.

Prices where decisions are made

You set prices per resource: a flat price, per hour, or per day. They now appear everywhere a guest makes a decision: on the resource tiles, in the booking header, and as a running total while the time is being picked. Book a room for two hours longer and you immediately see what it costs.

Revenue at a glance

The new Revenue section shows admins what has come in and what is still outstanding: paid, open, refunded, with figures for the current month, filters, and an export as CSV or Excel. On-site payments are ticked off as paid with a single click.

If a paid booking is cancelled or rejected, the card payment is refunded automatically, and the guest does not have to do anything.

Guided setup instead of guesswork

Card payments require a Stripe account. The settings now walk you through it in three steps and always show where you stand. If Stripe is still missing something, you will read "Date of birth" or "Bank account (IBAN)" instead of a generic error message.

What it costs

Paying on site or by invoice is free. For online payments we keep 4% per transaction, plus Stripe's own fees. There is no base fee and no minimum turnover. The 4% only applies when someone actually pays online. On a refund our share goes back too, so you are never out of pocket.

You will find all the details on our pricing page.
