Dispoly vs. anny: pricing and differences

anny and Dispoly are both German booking systems for things several people share: rooms, vehicles, equipment. Put their pricing pages side by side and you quickly see that they count different things. anny charges for every bookable resource. Dispoly sells plans with a fixed ceiling, whether you use 6 or 25 resources of it.

For a fleet that difference adds up fast. This post works through an example and shows what Dispoly brings to pool vehicles.

How anny charges

anny charges per resource per month. According to anny, a resource is anything you can book, for example rooms, people or vehicles. On top of that there are child resources, subunits of a resource such as desks in a room, parking spaces or equipment.

anny lists all prices per month, plus VAT. For online payments anny lists 5% of the total plus 40 cents per booking, subscription or booking package.

How Dispoly charges

Dispoly has three plans with a fixed monthly price. The plan depends on how many resources, locations and members you need.

Members are accounts in your organisation. People who book through the booking link or the QR code don't need an account and don't count. Every plan starts with a 30-day free trial without payment details. For online payments Dispoly keeps 4%, 1.5% on the Business plan, plus Stripe's fees.

Worked example: 15 pool vehicles and three meeting rooms

A care service or a trades business with 15 pool vehicles and three meeting rooms. That's 18 resources, each charged at anny's per-resource price.

The gap grows with every vehicle. Add two vans at anny and the price goes up by €10 to €30 a month. At Dispoly nothing changes until you reach 25 resources. And even with several branches on the Team plan you pay less than on anny's cheapest paid plan.

When Dispoly fits better

You have more than a handful of resources. Between 6 and 25 resources at one site, Dispoly costs €19 a month, however the mix of vehicles, rooms and equipment looks.
Vehicles, rooms and equipment belong in one calendar. Pool vehicles, trailers, meeting rooms and the projector live in one system and all count the same, with no split into resources and child resources.
The odometer reading should carry over from trip to trip. Under "Pickup & return", set up the "Driver logbook" template on the vehicle. At pickup the last odometer reading is prefilled, at return the distance driven appears straight away. The logbook shows kilometres driven and number of trips per month, and the CSV or Excel export has one row per trip. If a return is missing, Dispoly can send an email reminder. This is included in every plan, Starter too.
Something should be asked at pickup. For example "Licence checked?" or "New damage?" as a required Yes/No field. The answer goes into the logbook with name and time. How that works in practice is in Driving licence checks for pool vehicles and Damage to a pool vehicle.
Occasional drivers shouldn't need an account. They book through the booking link or the QR code on the key cabinet with name and email. Guests record the odometer reading through the link in their booking email.
Not every booking should apply straight away. For each vehicle you decide whether a booking is confirmed immediately or needs approval first. The pool car runs on its own, the van with the tow bar goes through management.
Garage and inspection dates belong in the plan. Blocked periods, one-off or recurring, take a vehicle out of the selection for that time. If you want the dates in Outlook, subscribe to the vehicle's iCal feed.
